Fall Plans

I’m so excited that Fall Bible Study is just around the corner girls! Please mark your calendars for September 20-21 and be sure to attend Janes’ Expo. We will be out in the lobby before and after every service that weekend. Come over to my table to see what Bible studies we will be offering. They will begin September 29-30 and most will be over before Thanksgiving. I'm praying that some of you will join the Discipleship Team this fall in order to serve in one of the following ways: becoming a prayer partner, helping with set-up, record-keeping, running sound, paid childcare etc. Please contact me at janesdiscipleship@yahoo.com.

 Many of you know that I’ve been writing my first Bible study this year and plan to teach in the fall. Thanks so much for asking me about it when you see me – I so appreciate your encouragement! It’s coming along very well, and I can’t wait to share it with you very soon! When you think of me, please continue to pray that God would use this study to get His message across to His women at BAF and that we would be changed as we study! I am believing God for a beautiful display of His power in our lives – His power to transform our character, to heal our wounds, to restore our relationships, to help us live in increased intimacy with Him and others! “For we Christians have no veil over our faces, but we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord, and as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him, reflecting His glory even more.” (2 Cor. 3.18) I’ll be posting more details later – so watch the blog for updates!

Thank You, Lord!

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." I Cor. 15.58

Seventy beautiful women were steadfast over the last few months in studying how to discern God's voice and making themselves available to Him - a perfect combination. God spoke and women were ready to obey and big things happened in answer to our prayers. I have had the privilege of hearing many of your stories and have felt overwhelmed by the power and the mercy of our Father demonstrated in your lives. You were good soil, and the seed of God's Word in your lives has produced "much fruit." I know the Lord is so pleased.

"The Power of a Positive Mom" study is still finishing up - if you'd like to join them for the last few sessions, you can find more information in the Current Bible Studies section to the right.

We'll kick off new Bible studies again in the fall, but if you're looking for something to do right now, check out "Web Bible Babes" to the right which is something you can do online in the comfort of your own home.

SPRING BIBLE STUDY

We had a great 2007 in Janes Bible Study and I'm so looking forward to 2008. God has led me to offer one Bible study this spring so that we can learn and celebrate together what God wants to speak to BAF women. We will be offering this Bible study at two different times. The study, entitled "Discerning the Voice of God" from author and speaker, Priscilla Shirer, is designed to help us know the voice of God. I have personally been through this study and can say that I have done few other studies that are as practical and encouraging as this one to help you develop an intimate relationship with Jesus. It's a study that is challenging to both new believers and women who have walked with Jesus for a long time. We will meet together for 6 weeks (taking a week off for Spring Break) and free childcare will be provided. I would so love for you to join us!

Monday Evening Group
February 11 through March 31 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at BAF

Tuesday Morning Group
February 12 through April 1 from 9:45-11:45 a.m. at BAF

Cost
$15 for book due at first session

We also have two other great ongoing Bible studies available - Web Bible Babes, and "Hold You Mommy" for young moms. Check out their information on the right!
